Life Groups
The overall vision at Steadfast is to see Jesus transform lives though His Word, prayer and loving relationships. One of the best environments for this to happen is in Life Groups, as there is an intentional effort within community to grow in His Word, to pray for each other and to love others in very practical ways. This is why we purposefully encourage folks to engage in Life Groups at Steadfast. Typically, Steadfast Life Groups are comprised of people who are in similar life stages who make a commitment to meet regularly (weekly or biweekly) during the school year (Fall / Winter / Spring) and then break for the Summer.

Serving at Steadfast
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. – Mark 10:45
Christ’s example should encourage us to love and serve one another. Being stewards of the grace of God, He calls each of us to serve one another, for His glory. (See 1 Peter 4:10-11)
For the life of a believer, serving others is a response of a heart overflowing with love and gratefulness to God for the great things He has done! A benefit of this service is the blessing of connection with others and the building of relationships in the body of Christ as we grow closer to the Lord.
There are many opportunities to serve at Steadfast. Please see below for more information.
Areas of Service
Children's & Youth Ministry
Nursery/Walkers – 6 months to 23 months
Volunteers in the Nursery/Walkers play with babies (6 months through Age 1) during the Sunday morning church service. There is no preparation required outside of Sunday morning, except for praying for the children in your classroom. If you love to hold & snuggle babies and play with one year olds, then this is the service area for you!
Seedlings – 2 years to 3 years
Volunteers in the Seedlings Class play with Two & Three Year-Olds during the Sunday morning service. Preparation outside of Sunday morning includes planning for a short bible lesson. If you love to be around busy toddlers, then you will love the Seedlings Room!
Sprouts, Sycamores, Redwoods & Mighty Oaks – 4 years to 5th grade
Teachers in the Sprouts (4 Year Olds – Pre-K), Sycamores (K-1st Grade), Redwoods (2nd -3rd Grade), and Mighty Oaks (4th-5th Grade) Rooms are in charge of leading the class & teaching the Bible lessons. This involves spending time outside of Sunday to prepare to teach. Helpers assist the teacher in keeping kids on task & providing general classroom support. Teachers & helpers should both work together to prepare the classroom for the lesson on Sunday mornings.
SALT Youth Ministry – 6th grade to 12th grade
Steadfast youth enjoy doing life together at the Sunday night SALT gatherings as they study scripture and grow in their love and understanding of God and His Word. The students are encouraged with a biblical worldview as they learn to build the foundation of their lives through the application of Biblical truths. Steadfast SALT Leaders help facilitate small group discussions and build into the lives of the next generation of Christ Followers.
Hospitality
Ushers
A Steadfast Usher provides a comfortable, distraction-free environment by welcoming people as they enter the sanctuary, offering assistance with finding seats and handing out bulletins and other handouts. Ushers are also asked to help with duties, such as communion, traffic safety, and lobby/foyer monitoring. If you are friendly and enjoy providing assistance to the Steadfast body, then this is the service area for you! Ushers serve once or twice a month.
Greeters
Steadfast Greeters offer a warm and friendly greeting to each person who enters the building. They proactively recognize those who may be first time visitors and are willing to assist them with any questions they might have, such as where to take their children, locations of restrooms, etc. Greeters serve once or twice a month.
Welcome Table
The Steadfast Welcome Table Team helps ensure that those seeking out information, or those new to Steadfast, find the answers to their questions. They are a friendly and welcoming extension of the Steadfast body. If you love meeting and conversing with people, you will enjoy being a part of the Welcome Table Team. Welcome Table volunteers serve once or twice a month.
Coffee Team
The Coffee Team serves the body by brewing coffee and setting up the coffee station on a Sunday morning before electives and the worship service. If you love the smell of coffee in the mornings and desire to bless others, then join the Steadfast Coffee Team! Coffee volunteers serve once or twice a month.
Worship
Worship Team
The primary responsibility of the Steadfast Worship Team is to glorify the Lord by leading the congregation in worship through music during the beginning and end of each worship service. Worship Team consist of both vocal and instrumental team members who are responsible for preparing musical selections and bringing an attitude of praise during each service.
Choir
Steadfast also has a multi-generational choir for those 13 years and older. The choir performs a handful of times a year, along with rehearsals during the week before the performances. If you love to sing, then come be a part of the Steadfast Choir!
Audio / Visual Team
The Steadfast Audio Visual Team is made up of four areas. Those who operate: 1.) the sound board; 2.) the live stream; 3.) the video cameras; 4.) and the power point. Each area has different levels of commitment on a Sunday morning. So if attention to detail & an ear for music interests you, or technology and creativity in production, then this may be an area you could partner with others to help the church service run smoothly and without distraction. A/V Team members serve once or twice a month.

Outreach
Caring Cooks

Examples of this would be delivering a meal to those with a new baby, illness, death, etc. You do not have to be an amazing cook to be part of this ministry! Sign up to be added to our volunteer list, then as requests come in, you will receive emails with a link and you may then signup to help as you are able.
Covered in Prayer
The Covered in Prayer Ministry desires to see Jesus transform lives by encouraging people within our church body who are going through a difficult time. The encouragement comes through receiving a hand-made blanket along with an encouraging note to remind the family or individual that we as a church are “covering them in prayer”. This team participates in the making of blankets for the building up of the body.
Millard North Food Pantry
There is a growing need for weekend food assistance for some of Millard North’s students. Steadfast has committed to making a monthly delivery of non-perishable food items to the school pantry to help support them. Examples of items needed: Cereal, granola/cereal bars, oatmeal, pancake mix/syrup, pop tarts, canned vegetables/fruit, applesauce, soup, pasta/pasta sauce, ravioli, mac & cheese, hamburger helper, canned chicken/tuna, ramen noodles, peanut butter/jelly, microwave popcorn, snack items.
