Everyone has a worldview, whether they know it or not. Because we live in a pluralistic world of competing worldviews (e.g., Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, etc.), it is imperative that we as Christians understand these worldviews and know how to build bridges to each one. There are seven major worldview questions that will frame our discussion. In addition to the major world religions, we will also discuss the New Age, Postmodernism and naturalism (i.e., atheism). The history, theology and ethical framework of each will be part of our discussions.
Please plan on joining us for this Worldviews elective with Dr. Jim Eckman. The elective will take place on Sunday mornings at 9am from January 13 to March 10 in the Fireside Room. There is no cost associated with this elective, but we request that you register below so we can have adequate materials prepared for the time. Childcare is provided during the elective.
Please Note: Parents registering for this elective will be asked to assist with childcare from time to time.
